Seismic Fragility of Aging Elevated Water Tank with Smooth Bars Considering Soil Structure Interaction

چکیده

The functionality of elevated water tanks is pivotal to assure after an earthquake as supply expected be uninterrupted. Although with deformed bars are widely studied, limited works exist for smooth bars, although such comprise a considerable fraction, even in the high seismic regions. To quantify vulnerability aging we created analytical fragility functions full, half, and empty reservoir conditions, considering fluid–structure soil–structure interactions. sum findings reflects that soil flexibility amount present tank have significant effect on overall fragility, especially at higher damage states. found most vulnerable when they fully filled water. more pronounced difference between flexible base fixed structures increase increasing ground motion intensity it highest condition.
